Howdy all,
The past two day have been fairly decent. We banded 45 birds Thursday and 64
today. The highlight and most unexpected bird of the two days was a
WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW that we banded today. GRAY CATBIRDS have been very
abundant around
the station the last few days. Other nice birds include RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET
and YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER. It was a bit windy today which sure cut the
number of birds we could have banded today. There were quite a few birds around
but it was just too windy for good netting. Not sure what to expect tomorrow.
We'll find out soon I guess.

Just seems odd to have some of these birds around already. Guess I am just in
denial that neotropical migration is winding down! Although I do love them
sparrows that are coming!
