This afternoon at Ben Brenman Park in Alexandria, I saw the neck ring on a
RING-NECKED DUCK for the first time.

There were two male Ring-neckeds there (unusual) as well four pair of HOODED
MERGANSERS, and 20+ MALLARDS and at least as many RING-BILLED GULLS. I
finally got the elusive BELTED KINGFISHER in my lens, only to have some
walking dogs come by and scare it before I could focus and click. The birds,
except for the gulls were in the small portion of the lake (west end).
