Andy Higgs, Chris French, and Marianne Mooney led a group of thirteen other
birders at Huntley Meadows Park on Monday, April 28, 2003, from 0700 to 0910
on the bright, sunny, morning. The Virginia Rail did not appear, but the
American Bittern and the Sora made up for the loss. The Park is alive with
brilliant green foliage dotted with the white, yellow, red, and blues of the
native plants.
