Gentle Readers,

Barry Pearson, Ann Bogar, Nina Sebastian, and Fred Bogar started the New Year 
by birding at Huntley Meadows Park this morning, 1/1/2005, from 0800 to 1045.  
The Red-headed Woodpeckers were seen once again down Barnyard Run.

Huntley Meadows Park can be reached from the Beltway by driving south on US 
Route 1 approximately three miles to Lockheed Boulevard.  Turn right on 
Lockheed Boulevard and proceed to the intersection of Lockheed and Harrison 
Lane.  The Park entrance is on the left.
