Don Mauchline, Mary Floyd, and Harry Glasgow led a group of 10 other birders
on the Monday Morning Birdwalk at Huntley Meadows Park on 8/26/2002 from 0700
to 0930. The weather was cloudy, calm, and cool. Although a half inch of
rain had fallen the day before, the central pond was very low. Spotting
scopes were needed to identify the numerous ducks and shorebirds from the
boardwalk.
