Highlights from this morning's birdwalk at Huntley Meadows:

- 1 common loon (fly-over)
- 25+ double-crested cormorants (fly-overs)
- 1 barred owl
- 3 adult yellow-crowned night herons
- 1 pair blue-winged teal
- several wood ducks
- pair of hooded mergansers
- 2 osprey
- 1 ad male northern harrier (second-hand report)
- 2 caspian terns
- both greater and lesser yellowlegs
- several common snipe
- 1 belted kingfisher
- tree, barn, and n. rough-winged swallows plus a couple purple martins
- yellow-rumps (many)
- 5+ palm warblers 
- 1 common yellowthroat (ad male)
- 1 blue-gray gnatcatcher
- 1 phoebe
- a few juncos
- 1 eastern towhee
- 1 brown thrasher
