The Hike/Bike Trail at Huntley Meadows was very birdy this morning. Nothing
unusual, but nice numbers. The best birds were moderately late CATBIRD and
PHOEBE. Over 100 sparrows (mostly white-throated, song, and junco, and
perhaps 15 field and 4 swamp), and there were noteworthy numbers of FLICKERS
(20+) and GC KINGLETS (12), and YELLOW-RUMPS (40?).
Also, I had a WINTER WREN in my yard for the second time ever this
afternoon.
