It was pretty quiet, nothing in the way of warblers being reported from
further north. Then I got home to a message from my neighbor that he had an
immature female Blackburnian in his yard. I went over there about 10:30 but
it
was gone. Wrong time, wrong place.
One interesting thing at Henricus - I walked out to the first blind. On my
way back I noticed a copperhead lying across the path - which means I must
have almost stepped on it on the way in! Then I noticed the ants around its
head. Figured it was dead, but I tossed a stick at it just to be sure!
