Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end   time: 17:00:00
Total observation time: 9 hours

Official Counter: Todd M. Day

Observers:        Ilse Jorgenson, Leni Friedman

Visitors:
An Akita named Java, a Sheba Inu, and a Collie that had been sheared, which
makes that one funny looking dog.

Weather:
Humidity broke since yesterday, temp touched the low eighties, mostly
sunny, a little haze, light westerly wind.

Observations:
Good Bald Eagle day, eleven that looked like migrants, two adults that
probably weren't.  Of the eleven, six were adults, the balance were
juveniles.

Could only discern whether two Osprey were packing, and neither were.

The Red-tailed held a gun to my head and forced me to name it a migrant.

Osprey shut down the watch at exactly 1800 EDT.

Nothing outstanding, but a few cool birds.

Chimney Swift, circa 300; Hummingbird, 14; Red-headed Woodpecker, 1;
Common Raven, 6; Bank Swallow, one flock of 15; Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, 1;
Barn Swallow, 6; Double-crested Cormorant, 1; Common Nighthawk, 2, the
first at 1655 EDT; Baltimore Oriole, 1; Tanager, 1.

Predictions:
I predict that Showtime's Weeds will garner great critical acclaim and
Mary-Louise Parker will get an Emmy; that the Shrimp I'm about to devour
will be outstanding; and the white Volvo will be there after we get
five-thousand Broad-wingeds.
