For those of you that did not get a chance to get to Greenfield last week
for the White-rumped Sandpipers, today there were at least 9 in a mixed flock
with Westerns and I'm not sure what else as they were just beyond the
comfortable range with binocs. A scope is a definite plus and will probably
give you killer views. I was able to see 7 closely, and then they flew showing
clearly the obvious tail pattern. Off in the distance, a pair of Bobwhite
called back and forth, the first this year I have heard them there.
