Recent bird happenings from Gloucester:
Sat morning, 4/21 - BLUEBIRDS were working hard feeding four babies in the
nest box (by Monday they were quite large and feathered), first
RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD at the feeder, four OVENBIRDS now on their
territories along the road, a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER still around and
singing, and a RED-EYED VIREO
Sun afternoon, 4/22 - BALD EAGLE and 2 OSPREYS over the yard, first HOODED
WARBLER, BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER picking around in the garden, an EASTERN
MEADOWLARK singing in the field, a WHITE-EYED VIREO, a WORM-EATING WARBLER,
and still 2 WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS
Tues morning, 4/24 - a single PRAIRIE WARBLER joined the chorus
