Hello VABirders,
I received a reliable report that a first winter Franklin's Gull was again
seen at the P.W.C. Landfill on Thursday morning at 9:45. The bird was boldly
marked on the head, similar to markings on the first bird reported last
Saturday.
It was observed up on top at the commercial dump site. The observer watched
from the same spot occupied by other birders last Sunday morning.
I hope weekend birders will keep trying for this bird!
