VA Birders,
The 16 people who took part in our Northern Virginia Bird Club trip to
Fort Smith Park in Arlington Co. this morning found 42 species of birds.
Highlights included a Scarlet Tanager, a Common Yellowthroat, and a Savannah
Sparrow which enjoyed a bath in our new Bird Stream. We also had 2 pairs of
Rough-winged Swallows, which were gathering nesting material from the dirt
and straw behind the parking lot.
