Howdy all,
Today started off as normal, a few net runs, a few birds. Then the 8 o'clock
net run came. We ended the day with a total of 45 birds banded, 31 of them
came on that one net run! Pretty exciting! Although, all the birds caught were
expected, the BROWN-HEADED NUTHATCH was a nice catch for the station. Last
spring only one was caught for the season. We also caught both KINGLETS today
as
well.

Here are the totals for the day:

Ruby-crowned Kinglet      2
Golden-crowned Kinglet   1
Eastern Phoebe              1
Brown-headed Nuthatch   1
Swamp Sparrow              2
Northern Cardinal             1
Tufted Titmouse               1
Carolina Chickadee          3
Pine Warbler                   1
Yellow-rumped Warbler    32

Total ---------------------------  45

It is nice when the wind doesn't blow! Hope tomorrow is the same.

Cheers,
Jethro
