BIG movement NORTH of waxwings & robins.  I was watching the Nansemond River
(completely frozen over) and began noticing robins & waxwings moving north
on both sides of the river.  I counted 1000+ waxwings and 700+ robins in
about 30 minutes.

Are these birds fleeing snow-covered North Carolina?  Here in Suffolk we
only got an inch of snow.  North of us, in Newport News, they got only a
dusting.
