Weather:
Partly cloudy all day with lots of high thich cirrus coming up from the
south, warming up to 88 F. Winds light (1-2) started out E, then quickly
shifted to W/SW, until the last few hours when they became NW.
Observations:
A slow start, with one push of 260 birds from 11:30-13:00 EST (maximum
kettle 60 birds), then a couple of smaller pulses at 15:30 and and 16:10
(maximum kettle 41 birds). Altitude was predominantly 4, with the birds
detected just to either side of the ridge or overhead. Two adult BE at
11:15 and a third at 13:05.
DC Cormorant (1), RH Woodpecker (1 ad), RT Hummingbird (1), Swallows (18),
Monarchs (63 - flying high on the light winds, but tapering off the last
few hours), Dragonflies (42 - about evenly divided between Saddlebacks and
Green Darners).
