I was at Pocahontas SP this morning (not birding, but looking for asilids e.i.
robber flies). Anyway, I encountered a flock of birds I first took to be
locals; Summer Tanager, Hooded Warbler, gnatcatcher, Great-crested Flycatcher,
White-eyed Vireo. However, I caught a look at a nice male Canada Warbler along
with a glimpse at a female or immature Redstart. This for me is an early fall
migration date for Canada Warbler.
