Andy Rabin, Larry Meade and I stopped by Sparrow Alley at Manassas
Battlefield NP this morning, November 26, 2004, and found two RAVENS and a
NORTHERN HARRIER cruising low over the fields, in addition to the expected
residents.
In the Nokesville area of Prince William County we traveled the farm roads
and found a few WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS, 2 juveniles and an adult, and
BREWERS BLACKBIRDS off of Fleetwood road in a cow pasture next to Asbury
Church. There were about 20 Brewers mixed in with a few Cowbirds, feeding on
the ground next to the cows and alighting in the trees around the farm. The
Brewers were lifers for Larry and me.
