Thanks to Ben Jesup for helping me do part of the survey on the Huntley
Hike-Bike Trail (backside) today. Highlights were a Mississippi Kite over the
Central Marsh, 2 singing Gray-cheeked Thrushes in the North Marsh, 3 Blue
Grosbeak (2 females) in the Woodcock Meadow, and 20 (late?) flyover Bobolinks
(as relayed by Jack Peckham).
Warbler migration is winding down. Migrant warblers consisted of 1 Magnolia, 2
Blackpoll, and 3 American Redstarts. Breeders consisted of a lone Ovenbird
along the Pond Trail and 8 Common Yellowthroats. Pretty slim warbler pickins.
