On a clear , calm , and very sunny Sunday, April 10 , 2005 , we
checked 37 of our 40 Bluebird boxes in western Albemarle County for the
first time this year . The results were as follows :
Beginning or complete nests in 28 boxes ; Eggs in 9 of those boxes ( 1
egg in each of 7 boxes , 3 in one box and 5 in one ) ; Mice in two of
the inactive boxes . One Tree swallow sitting above an inactive box .
Looks like a good start !
