I visited the Turf Farm bordering Loudoun County Parkway at mid-day today.
Too much disturbance from traffic and workers mending fences! Nevertheless,
two of the Baird's Sandpipers flew in, but stayed around only for as long as
it took me to get a good look at them. I stayed another hour, but no
reappearance.
The only other SP was a single Lesser Yellowlegs. Plovers were restricted to
a couple of Semi-palmateds and about 20 Killdeers. There were also a
half-dozen Horned Larks, 3 immatures and 3 adults.
