Hello VA Birders,
A little over a month ago I posted a call for
volunteers to run vacant Breeding Bird Survey routes
in VA. I thank all of you who responded. I am still
looking to fill five routes, and there is still time
for you to sign up to run a route. For a list of
vacant routes, along with a map showing their
approximate locations within the state, please visit
the following link to the North American Breeding Bird
Survey page:
http://www.pwrc.usgs.gov/bbs/results/routemaps/virginia.cfm?StateNumber=88
I am looking for volunteers who are able to commit to
running routes for at least two years, who have access
to transportation to complete a survey, possess good
hearing and eyesight, and are able to identify all
breeding birds in the area by sight and sound. Feel
free to give me a call, or to send me an e-mail at the
following address: sergio.harding@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
