The Red-necked Grebe was still there this morning at 10:00 a.m. It wasn't
close in like Mike saw it, but it was clearly visible with a scope. It was
in the area near the public boat landing, which is off SR 640, however when I
went to the boat landing I didn't see it. So the best view was from where
Mike describes. I did not see any of the other species that Mike saw, except
for a few gulls and an adult Bald Eagle perched in a tree at the edge of the
water.

...this one at Sandy River Reservoir, Prince Edward County, this afternoon
(1 March). The Red-necked Grebe was the most cooperative bird on the lake,
coming as close as 6-8 meters from shore near the end of SR 605 on the west
side of the lake (access is from SR 696 off US 460). Also on the lake were
a Horned Grebe, 4 Pied-billed Grebes, 40+ Lesser Scaup and scaup sp., and a
few Ring-necked Ducks, coots, and Ring-billed Gulls.
