A special treat awaits you amongst the Great Egrets, Green and Blue
Herons and Mallards with their young. An American Avocet was hanging out in
the marsh this morning. Most inland Avocet I've ever seen... Enjoy.
Directions:
Rt 495 (Capital Beltway) to Rt1 south. About 3.5 miles to Lockheed Blvd
and 3/4 on your left is Huntley Meadows entrance. A nice walk thru the woods
gets you to the marsh.
