In addition to Larry's crowd, the boys (me, Philip Kline, Jason Waanders,
Bart Hutchinson, and Jim Mathews) saw the following.

spotted sandpiper
green heron (flyover)
2 wood ducks (in a tree)
mallard (a female also in a tree; has anyone seen this behavior before?
Weird)
2 barred owls (calling near the Powell's Creek Trail)
3 red-headed woodpeckers (spur overlook on Powell's Creek Trail; contributed
to a six-woodpecker day -- we dipped on sapsucker)
white-eyed vireo
house wren (probable -- its call sounded to me like winter wren, but the
brief look seemed consistent with house wren)
1 yellow-rump
1 palm
3 LA H20thrush
