The Golden-winged Warbler gave us great looks and was making a
two-noted Blue-winged call.
I have nesting Golden-winged Warblers on my property in Highland County every
year, and several years ago had two Brewster's Warblers singing on territory.
We have had the Lawrence's also, and obviously the Blue-winged. It has been
my experience that you can't assume anything when you hear the song of the
Golden-winged or Blue-winged Warblers. Either song could be one of the two
species or one of the hybrids. So, when keeping lists, bear in mind that if
you
hear a Blue-winged or Golden-winged Warbler singing and don't see the bird, it
could be one of four choices.
