"Dinner On The Table"
Lt. Cmdr Alex Lazzara-Henderson

Alex was in the gym working on the exercises that she had been given to help
her gain more control over her leg. Frankly she didn't see much in the way
of results so far, but she kept trying. Hopefully at some point it would come
and she would be able to control her leg.

She had stretched every muscle she had and then some she didn't realize she
had. By the time she was done she was one very sore person. Finishing up, she
went and sat in the whirlpool allowing the heated water to relax her
muscles. When she could finally no longer stand the heat she got up, walked to
the
locker room and changed into her spare pair of sweats and made her way toward
a lift to return to her quarters.

Vivie had been working an enormous amount of hours on the investigations
regarding the Maritu delegates that they really hadn't had a chance to spend a
great deal of time together. Tonight, Alex thought, she would make dinner and
make the rest of the evening as relaxing as possible for her spouse.

She changed into a pair of linen slacks and a loose fitting top. She then
made sure that their quarters were straightened up and everything was in its
place. She set the table with a linen table cloth, two candles in crystal
candle holders, and a bouquet of flowers between the candles. She replicated
two
place settings in Vivie's favorite china pattern, placing them on the table
along with the proper utensils. Standing back she admired the table to see if
there was anything she had missed.

The table was perfect, now all that was needed was to find the perfect
dinner. She went to the kitchen area and found the recipes that Vivie had
brought
from home finding what she wanted. It wouldn't be a perfect lobster boil or
even a boil, but it would at least be lobster of some sort.

She programmed the replicator with the precise ingredients, once that was
done and the lobster was done, she placed it on a platter setting it on the
table. A bottle of wine was chilling in a cooler by the table. Desert was
already prepared and waiting. Everything was set. There were candles lit
throughout
their quarters and soft jazz music being played. It wasn't like her Mum's
but it was as close as possible.

The only piece missing was Vivie.....
