Differences of Opinion Lt. Cmdr Lazzara-Henderson, Captain Eddie Le Beau & 2nd Lt. Niamh McLaughlin Talking to Kylara really hadn't helped her feel any better. She still felt lost and alone. She still needed to get rid of some energy so she took her bag and returned to the gym. She would run around the circular path until she out of energy or her leg gave out. Which ever came first, Alex desperately wanted to talk to Vivie, yet Vivie wasn't talking to her. After asking the computer where Alex was, Eddie sighed. This wasn't a topic he wanted out in the open. "Le Beau to Henderson, Alex can you come by my place for a moment. It's about Sadie." LtCmdrSydMorgan: "On my way Le Beau." Alex had no idea why in the world Eddie would want to talk to her after all this time? It didn't make any sense, but she would soon find out. Standing outside Eddie's quarter's Alex hesitated for a moment then rang the chime and waited. "Come in." Eddie called as soon as the chime rang. He looked over at Niamh for a moment, just to calm himself and smiled at her before the doors opened. Niamh offered Eddie a tiny, reassuring smile and mouthed, "Don't worry, I'm here." Walking in Alex was a little nervous, and it got even worse when she saw the other person sitting there. "What's up Eddie?" "We need to talk." He said simple as he offered her a seat. Taking a seat, Alex looked at Eddie and the woman next to him and wondered what was going on. "What do you want to talk about?" "Sadie." He answered. "What about Vivie?" Eddie looked right into Alex's eyes and asked, "Why are you trying to hurt her." "What are you talking about Eddie? You know I love her and wouldn't hurt her intentionally." "So you didn't intentionally kiss another woman?" Eddie growled. "What the hell are you talking about?" Alex attempted to remain calm. "He's talking about last night, in the Lounge, when you were kissing a woman who wasn't Sadie," Niamh inserted. He wasn't sure he could handle this if she played dumb. All he wanted was the truth, and to know why. "I was in the lounge last night and yes I was kissed by another woman but it's not what you think. She was trying to comfort me. Nothing more." Niamh gaped at the woman. "You initiated the kiss, you were sucking her face off. If I wanted to be comforted by one of my male friends, I wouldn't want to be kissed like that." "Are you sleeping widh her too?" Eddie asked. "Who the fuck are you to ask me something like that?" Alex glared at the woman next to Eddie. "As for your question Eddie the answer is no. I don't know who the hell you are lady but I was not sucking anyone face's off as you so delicately put it. There are things going on that you know nothing about." Alex was shaking inside, she didn't know if it was fear or anger? "She be my Petite." Eddie warned, his anger flashing in his eyes. "And she is my wife." Thin-lipped, Niamh just stared at Alex. Balling up her fists, she held her temper as best she could. "I don't know what it's like for you, but in my strange little world, marriage vows are sacred." "Why the fuck don't you just stay out of this conversation, especially since you haven't a clue as to what is going on. Neither of you do." Eddie stood, towering over Alex. "Don't talk to her dat way, and stop playing games and tell me de truth." Alex stood and looked Eddie in the face, " I will talk to her any way I feel, especially when being accused of things that are none of her business. Now, if you really care about Vivie you will drop the macho attitude, and perhaps ask what is going on. That is if you really care, even after all you did to her when she was growing up." With white fire shining in her eyes and cold, clipped words, Niamh said, "If you'll excuse me, Lieutenant Commander, but that was beyond low. If you wish to be spoken to in a respectful manner then maybe you should try using one yourself." With that, she stepped up to Eddie and took his hand. "After what I did?" Eddie blinked. "Perhaps you should follow your own words Lt. Yes Eddie. I know about how you and Vivie were running with the wrong crowd. You don't see me attacking you about it. If you are really concerned about what is going on then perhaps you should calm yourself, sit down and ask." Alex glared at the Lt. "I never hurt, Sadie. You're sleeping widh someone else while she's trying to have your baby." Eddie growled. "You got a piece of ass while she's hurting instead of waiting for her to come out of her depression." Niamh's fury burned in her stomach. She had been polite. If that bitch wanted to hear disrespectful, then maybe she should. "With all due respect, ma'am, don't you fucking dare look at me like that again, you piece of crap. You screw around and then expect me to see things your way? Fuck right off!" Alex stood straighter, glaring at both of them and pushed her way toward the door. "I don't have to stand here and be accused of something that is not even happening. Did you ever stop to think Eddie that Vivie is not the only one hurting? You think I enjoy being told to leave her alone and that she doesn't want to talk to me? I am not even welcome in my own fucking quarter's and I don't need shit from either of you." "So all of that gives you the right to have an affair?" Eddie replied. "You walk out dat door and I tell her everyding." "Eddie, you can believe whatever you want. I am not having an affair. Your Sadie is not the only one hurting. I don't know what you think you know but whatever it is it is wrong." Alex sat down in the nearest chair. Holding her head in her hands a tear started to fall down her face. "That was my baby as well. I lost just as much as she did. But you don't care, you just want to jump to a conclusion based on something you never saw for yourself." Looking at the woman Alex asked, "Were you there when I was by myself, crying my eyes out? No. You saw a kiss and me leaving with another woman and came running to Eddie to tattletale. Yes, I left with someone, I had no where to go and she graciously offered her couch. You got a problem with that?" "No, what I have a problem with is you pulling another woman to you and kissing her in a manner that goes beyond a friendly peck on the cheek," Niamh replied. "But since you're calling me a liar, how about we ask another witness? Would you like me to contact Ensign Pax? That way there's a second person to corroborate my story." Disgust and ire played her face and she turned to look up at Eddie. "I'll not stand here and be called a liar again." "Neither will I, Petite." Eddie looked at Alex, getting in her face. "I have a problem with you. I'm going to keep an eye on you and if you dare to even look at someone else I'll go to Vivie." "First of all Lt. I did not call anyone a liar. I simply stated the facts. As for your having a problem with me Eddie, I would expect no less, especially since you have never taken the time to even get to know me. You tell me where I am supposed to go when I am not even wanted in my own home? When the person I love more than anything won't even talk to me? You tell me Eddie." "And that's again. Either learn to listen to what comes out of your mouth, ma'am, or keep it shut," Niamh said with a sigh. "I'm tired of this bullshit." Eddie sighed. "So am I. If you hurt her... Get out." Standing Alex looked at them both. Nobody understood. No one was even trying. "Gladly, I have enough to deal with. I don't need shit from either of you." Alex walked out the door and down the hallway with tears in her eyes, feeling more alone than she ever had. Eddie flopped onto the couch. "That was useless." Sitting next to him, Niamh touched his knee tentatively. "I'm sorry." Putting his arm around her, Eddie held Niamh close. "She's de one who needs to be saying sorry to quiet a few people."
