Josie sits by herself in the ships lounge known as The Eagle's Nest picking at her plate of food and stareing out of the view port. Her mind wandering back to her last talk with Tru. He hated her now. She could tell by the way he avoided making eye contact and when he did she could still see the anger behind his eyes. That hadn't been her intent when she approched him about his games. She never got to tell him that she was concerned because she, herself had been adicted to video games. It nearly cost her and her friends thier lives. In fact she had to spend the next three months after the fact in the hospital recovering from haveing the bones in her arm and legs crushed. She never got to convey the fact that she wasn't comming down on him because of his games but she cared about him. Josie sighed out loud. Things had become more comfortable here on the Eagle. The Captain was calling her Josie more and more. Also he hadn't called her Mr. Tracy in a good long time. But mos t of the crew still kept their distance from her and other then the bridge crew she really didn't know anyone else on the ship personaly. Maybe it was the way they looked at her. She had never met the borg but they seemed to have a very negitive impact on this universe and the word cyborg was uttered like it was a curse. Like contrating some horriable illness. Josie wonder about her friends back home. Did they know she was gone yet? Were they looking for her? Or was she presumed dead and had a nice little ceremony for her? How the heck was she going to get home? The few years she had spent here she still couldn't figure out how she came to be here in the first place. She didn't know if everyone on the ship had family but she did know they all had a place to call home. Other then here on the Eagle. They all could go back to where ever it was they came from, just to visit or what ever. Even when they had gone to the Fyrstk ranch for Christmas it wasn't the same. It wasn't her Earth. The air was way too clean for one thing. It just didn't feel like home. She got up and dumped her untouched dinner into the disposal and headed for the holodeck. She punched in her program and entered her bedroom as it was in the 1990's. She took off the uniform and put on a white tank top and blue denim jean shorts. Then she flopped into her bed, grabbed her teddy, curled up into a ball and fell asleep crying... Josephine Tracy --------------------------------- Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page
