"A Boogey Man In Their Midst"
part 2

He hated that fact that he had been spotted.  Even if it was by a seven-year-old boy.  Eveyone else on this stupid station had ignored his presence, even the damned Ferengi, but that kid... Why had he seen him.  What drew that kid's attention to him?
Well, no matter what it was, he still had a mission to complete.  This was the right station, and now.. the Union's greatest enemy would pay.
The Firegon agent moved quietly through the residential corridor.  His hand-held scanner was displaying data.  He knew he was safe from being spotted because most of these suites were currently uninhabited.  They were reserved for "special guests" to the station, of which there were none at this time.
The scanner's readout flashed red.  This was the spot for the first relay.  When activated, it would fool the station's sensors into believing that everything was just fine in this area.
The Firegon pulled off the access panel, and went to work.

Ronov Alaster Fyrstk knew that he was not supposed to wander the station by himself, but he really WANTED to get to the shuttle repair bay.  Besides, everyone on this station knew who he and the rest of is family was. He wasn't alone.  He rode the turbo-lift, heading for the repair bay.  Suddenly he got a strange feeling.
"Lift, stop," he called out.  The turbo-lift halted at the level, and the doors slid open.  Ronov peered out.  It was one of the "home" levels where all the important people stayed.  He rembered visiting here when his Aunt Terra came to see them.  He cautiously exited the lift.
The corridor was extremely quiet.  In the distance he could hear a small grunting sound.  This drove on his young curiousity, so he continued down the hallway.  As he rounded the next corridor, there was the Firegon, working in an open access panel.  He knew he should turn and run. Go get help, but for some reason he didn't.
"Mister? What are you doing," Ronov asked aloud.
The Firegon acted purely on impulse, He pulled his head out of the access area, pulled his mini-disruptor, adgjusted it, and fired.

to be continued...
