Hi Folks,
Songbird migration--at least its visibility--has seemed pretty sparse
here in the central Umpqua Valleys to me, so far, but small numbers of
birds are arriving and moving through. Today a single adult GOLDEN-CROWNED
SPARROW was foraging with a few juncos at our place in Melrose, my first
for this fall.
I'm still hearing Western Tanagers and Black-throated Gray Warblers
daily; Chipping Sparrows still around (I don't know if they are the same
ones or moving through).
