And what a smart little fledgling you've hatched!
We've had "early birds" even in the mountains, but many early arrivals have
been reported in lower elevations this spring.

Not much time to bird right now unfortunately. However I am proud to report
my one year olds first word was not mama or dada but duck. Her second word
I think we decided was bird. I can't imagine where she gets these things!

Today just off of Diamond Lake blvd I heard parts of a Bullocks Oriole song
and then it's brief chatter. Then leaving I heard a Cason's vireo singing.
I believe that is bit on the early side of things for both species. But I
hear things seem to be running a bit early?
