I hiked Bland Mountain this morning (nothing too long but some parts quite
steep) where I was surprised to find a total of 7 California Towhees
calling and popping up from two different patches of buckbrush. One patch
was very dense and quite large but I couldn't detect any blue-gray
gnatcatchers.
Bland mountain is outside of days creek.
