I sent an email to the city concerning the proposed changes on Riddle and
Clifton and this is the response (My email is below). If anyone has any
comments or other alternatives, you should let her know. The emphasis should
be on safety.

It seems like the most dangerous turn is the right turn on Clifton
jumping 3 lanes which will not be eliminated under this proposal. Again the
proposal is to widen MLK and eliminate left turns from Riddle onto and from
MLK. The McMicken access will be eliminated under the I-75 plans. Dan is
going to bring it up at the trustees meeting next week, but I see no harm in
polite letters from the neighbors.

Cynthia,

The City and the project team have been trying to find a solution to this
area for quite some time. The I-75 plans to remove Riddle access from
McMicken has only complicated the issue. All of our community input has
been considered (I?ll forward your suggestion to the group). Your
suggestion is a good one and it has been considered, I appreciate it.

The decision has not been made, however, I hope we can come to some
conclusion within the next couple of weeks. This is going to be a tough
call. I?ll keep you informed.

In short, the team has agreed that this was too difficult a decision to make
during the meeting. Everyone has been asked to leave the meeting and
consider the arguments on all sides before casting a vote. There will be a
follow up meeting some time in the near future.

I am a resident of Riddle Road, University Heights. I have recently found
out about plans to change the Riddle Road access to Martin Luther King by
eliminating left turns onto and from MLK from Riddle.

If the McMicken and Riddle intersection is eliminated in the I_75 plans,
access from Riddle will be very limited under these proposals. Turning left
from Probasco onto Clifton Ave. is almost impossible

A better alternative is to limit the restrictions to rush hour which is the
dangerous time. Who is the best person to contact concerning this issue?
