Carl Westmoreland from the Freedom Center spoke on Cincinnati's history before the Civil war. He has been a Mt. Auburn neighborhood activist and is now curator and historian for the Underground Railroad Freedom Center. 3. At the Trustee's meeting, , they wrote a letter to Juvenile Court concerning a graffiti prosecution. Lakota Cole will do a neighborhood walk on May 30. 4. Trustee election is in July. The list will be in the newsletter. I know that Peter and Daniel are running. 5. Matt from CHCURC said that the area between McMillan and Calhoun formerly known as Bagdad has been leveled and planted for green space-This is a temporary solution. Much progress is being made on development of Block 1 for Gold's Gym etc. Chris Runkin (?) is interested in St. George. BW3 will be moving into Block 3 making way for Fed Ex and others. Members expressed concerns about parking. 6. Block Captains reported that a major planting/cleanup was held Saturday in Belleview park with the help of the U.C.C group. Michael Obringer from U.C.C was awarded the Golden Dustpan award. He is an engineering student who has been responsible for mobilizing 40-70 young people every month for clean up and related projects. 7.
