Which port are you trying to bind to? Do you have permission to bind to that 
port in Linux or is there already a service running on it? 

Remember that the bsdsocket emulation shares network ports with the host. 
There's no magical NAT or tunneling going on. In fact it really is as if 
these services were running on the host. Thus you can't run an FTP server on 
port 21 on the host and run an FTP server on that same port within UAE.
