I am thinking you have all read the Globe today.
If not, Konrad Yakabuski’s column deserves a read! And not because I am a fan,
but because he makes some good points.

Capitalism is on trial, or at least it should be. Where are our solutions? The
right is winning all over the place in Europe. We are missing the boat.
This is the time for the left to be bold. To speak about values and rising
inequality and climate change and to propose an alternative economic and social
vision for our country. This is a window in time. But we must seize the moment.
This is being done in bits and pieces and by amazing and thoughtful people,
many of them on this list. But we need to put in it a big book, anthology, or
something.
What do we want, a better world, yes, but how do we get it? What do we want our
country to look like and how do we achieve it?
Let’s start the conversation. Let’s put a bunch of people in a room together
with this express purpose – a bold vision from the left.
