Due to requests, I am reposting here every Ctrl+? Character and its
function in TurboIRC 2004:

1.mIRC compatible modifiers

Ctrl+B : Bold
Ctrl+I : Italic
Ctrl+U : Underline
Ctrl+K(0-15)[,0-15] : Basic Color [background color]
Ctrl+O : Reset current formatting

The above modifiers can be applied many times inside the message and in
combinations between them
Example:

<Ctrl+B>This is bold<Ctrl+I>This is bold and italic<Ctrl+B>This is only
italic<Ctrl+K 5>This is italic and red<Ctrl+I>This is only
red.<Ctrl+O>This is normal.

2.TurboIRC specific modifiers

Ctrl+D: Beep. Can be many times inside a message. Produces a beep only
Ctrl+if Windows Sounds are enabled.
Ctrl+S: Strikeout. Same functionality as the mIRC modifiers (i.e.
applies to the message next to Ctrl+S until a new Ctrl+S is found)
Ctrl+G: Enhanced color. Allows you to use 16 million colors instead of
only 16 for both foreground and background. Note that in TurboIRC 2004,
Ctrl+G acts the same as Ctrl+K . To use the enhanced color, you
must press the relative button in the small toolbar.
Ctrl+Y(0-999) : Size. This allows you to make the message in a
bigger-size font , from 1 to 999. Applies to the message next to Ctrl+Y
until a Ctrl+Y+0 is found.
Ctrl+E: Font change. This allows you to change the font of the message.
Note that this modifier is incompatible with any other modifier and must
be aplpied only once in a message. Because the whole font header
is transferred through the IRC server, you can't use a very big message
with Ctrl+E
Ctrl+L : Link . This allows you to make a hyperlink on the text. If a
user presses this link, it would be the same as he would type the text .
For example:
        <Ctrl+L>/join #a<Ctrl+L>
This will create a '/join #a' hyperlink, and if you press it you
will join #a.
Ctrl+L has other features to include multiple links in one and
to have different right-click submenus, but this isn't yet to be
discussed here :O)
Ctrl+F : Flash message. This can only be send alone and it isn't usable
through scripts, you must use the Ctrl+F from the command line and it
popups up the flash message dialog. It is not usable with other
modifiers.
Ctrl+Q : Multimedia message (voice , image or OLE object) . This can
only be send alone and it isn't usable through scripts, you must use the
Ctrl+Q from the command line and it popups up the flash message
dialog. It is not usable with other modifiers.
Ctrl+T: Animation . Animate text in many ways. Note that with Ctrl+T you
cannot combine Size modifers or Symbol modifiers (except smileys) , but
you can combine other attributes.
Ctrl+R: Symbol . Ctrl+R can be used in many ways like the following:

Ctrl+R <message> : Converts the message using the 'Symbol' font
        Ctrl+R Ctrl+R <message> : Uses windings
        Ctrl+R Ctrl+R Ctrl+R <message> : Uses webdings

In these forms, Ctrl+R can be combined with any other modifer
except Ctrl+T. For example: <Ctrl+B><Ctrl+R>bold message in symbol font

        Ctrl+R Ctrl+T <smiley id> <Ctrl+R> sequence: Use a smiley. The
smiley id can be from 100 to 999. Example:
        <Ctrl+R><Ctrl+T>101<Ctrl+R>this was a smiley
The above uses the smiley id 101 along with a message. This form
of Ctrl+R can be used with other modifiers (except bold etc which can't
affect a smiley) and with Ctrl+T. For example:
        <Ctrl+T>0,2,20,10<Ctrl+R><Ctrl+T>101<Ctrl+R> . This animates a
smiley using animation method #0.

There is also the Ctrl+R Ctrl+U available, which allows a user
to send a partial unicode string between the usual ANSI string. This can
also be used with any other modifier, including
bold, italic, animation etc. This is new to TurboIRC 4.295+, as the
previous versions only supported the ALT+Enter, which would pass the
entire message as unicode and discard any other modifier in it.

Please note that all these modifiers apply only to TurboIRC (and some of
them apply only to TurboIRC 2004) . For other clients, the results are
undefined, usually the user will see a strange message or nothing.

That's all :)
Sincerely yours,

Michael
