Everyone,
Last email from me today. Email topic: summer camp. We will start collecting
the camp money at this next Scout meeting. We are shooting for: April 1, 2017
- EARLY BIRD DEADLINE - All registrations must be paid in full by this date to
lock-in the early bird rate of $270 per youth. You can write a check to Troop
286, or use money your Scout has earned in their Scout Account. Even though we
can pay later, the camp fills up, and they have a maximum number of Scouts they
can take, so let’s all shoot for the Early Bird Deadline.
Thanks!
Cyndi

Details:
· Summer Camp (Better known as the funnest time of your life, albeit
upper, duper hot)
· July 9 – 15th (Sunday – Saturday)
· Chief Logan Scout Reservation
o 3600 Scout Camp Rd
o Ray, Ohio 45672
· Campsite Name: Tecumseh
We need a count of Scouts and adults that will be attending, please have that
information by our next meeting. Jonathan will be asking the Scouts. With the
Troop growing, we would like 4 adults to cover each day – in past years we have
good success with adults splitting the week. That works out well.
Summer camp dates and cost are below. You can write a check to Troop 286 or
use money your Scout has earned in their Scout Account. Please get with
Natalie Donahue at the meetings or email the list server, and if you do not
know your Scout’s account balance, she can tell you. I know Natalie is working
all that, I just do not know where she is with it, so just ask if you need to
know.
Cost and deadline. We are shooting for all Scouts to be paid by April 1st!
It’s the easiest and less hassle method:
· April 1, 2017 - EARLY BIRD DEADLINE - All registrations must be paid
in full by this date to lock-in the early bird rate of $270 per youth.
· June 1, 2017 - REGISTRATION DEADLINE - All registrations paid before
this deadline will be the standard rate of $290 per youth.
· Effective June 1st, a $20 late fee will be added. The late
registration rate for after June 1st is $310.
· Effective June 1st, any reductions in your youth or adult
registrations will result in a cancelation fee to offset already ordered
supplies.
Medical forms:
· Every Scout AND adult that stays at camp for more than 72 hours needs
the attached BSA Part A, B, AND C medical form (Part C is signed by a doctor).
If you are just coming for the Wednesday parent night, we still would like Part
A and Part B (no doctor signature needed). If you already gave me one for the
ski trip, we are all good!
Here’s the BSA website for Chief Logan, FYI:

And O.M.G.!!! That’s my kid! Right there on their website! Our son, Logan,
Max’s older brother, became a counselor for many years at Chief Logan (any
Scout that takes the CIT training can do that as well! In the past, Troop 286
has had up to 5 counselors on staff at one time!). Logan worked on the
Frontiersman Program (which the Scouts all totally love!). There he is, below!
