StudiesStarting salary is normally in the range £37,012 to £44,166The
University of Birmingham wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Translation Studies
and Applied Linguistics with effect from 16th September 2012 or as soon as
possible thereafter. The post is available for three years in the first
instance. We seek someone who will make an outstanding contribution to the
research profile of the English Department, and will be able to teach across a
wide range of modules. The main responsibility of the post holder will be to
contribute to the teaching and research activity of the Division of English
Language and Applied Linguistics, especially in delivering modules on the
postgraduate degree programmes (on campus and by distance learning), but also
contributing to the development of research postgraduate activity. Some
administrative duties will be involved. The appointed person will also be
expected to undertake research of an international standard.Closing Date: 9
