I do agree with Marion's opinion of it as Autumn Meadowhawk (looking at it on
the larger screen helps). I could find no reference to Blue-faced having amber
spots at the base of the wings.  Richard In a message dated 11/22/2015 3:15:36

Late season female meadowhawks can be as difficult as teneral female bluets,
but I’d vote for Sympetrum vicinum (Autumn Meadowhawk) based on the amber spots
at the wing bases and the ambiguous lump under S8, which I take to be a
scoop-shaped subgenital plate with maybe a blob of eggs or something else that
obscures the shape.

Which Sympetrum is this? It's a cell phone photo so the quality sucks but
it's very plain when compared to what I usually see here. The photo was taken
