Found this Green Comma today in the Vermont woods, and I'm reporting it because it should still be flying in the mountains of East TN, so be on the lookout. This photo is not very good; but you can still see the thickened hooked end of the comma and the greenish submarginal band. The edges are very jagged. This one was basking in a sunny, boggy area on the ground around 11:00 a.m. It flew to a nearby low fern, then to another low shrub. Finally, when I got too close, it flew high and away. I believe it flies through August. I have never seen this in TN, but if you see it, please post it. I would love to see it again in TN. Rita Venable, Franklin, TN Williamson Co.
