During the Tennessee Native Plant Society field trip to Millstone Mountain on April 9, the following were seen, all of which I believe will be FOY. One, possibly two BAMONA and there would have been others if photos could have been taken. Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (at least 12 with 7 or 8 fighting for territory over the tops of two Dogwood trees.) Spicebush Swallowtail - 4 or 5 Pipevine Swallowtail - 1 Zebra Swallowtail - 7 or 8 Falcate Orangetip - 4, all female Clouded Sulphur - 5 Orange Sulphur - 2 Pearl Crescent - 6 Question Mark - 2 Red Admiral - 3 Painted/American Lady - 1 Goatweed Leafwing - 1 (BAMONA, if photo is acceptable as it was shot from a good distance) Monarch - 9 (most flying north through fields) Satyr sp. - 4 Silver-spotted Skipper - 2 Juvenal's Duskywing - at least 10 Pepper and Salt Skipper - 1 (BAMONA photo) Bart Jones Memphis, Shelby County
