During last weekend's Foray, we found an interesting cloudywing in Moore County. See the linked photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/avian_pursuits/4735555920/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/avian_pursuits/4734918389/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/avian_pursuits/4735556194/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/avian_pursuits/4735556362/ Because the pale wing markings are so large, first thought is Southern. However, there is no sign of any white in the antenna. There is also no obvious white on the face. Does this mean it can't be Southern or Confused? Can a Northern be this well marked?
