An adult yellow-crowned night heron was seen on the Greenway in Maryville, Tennessee (Blount County) this past holiday weekend. It appeared around 6:30 p.m. two evenings in a row (May 29 and 30) just below the spillway at the Greenway's main entrance on Cusick Street. I don't know if it was there last night (May 31) as I wasn't there. A black crowned night heron was also present both May 29 and 30 and on May 30 a spotted sandpiper was on the rocks as well among the mallards.
