From GABO-L sent by Steve Holzman from Athens, Ga.
Even with the new Department of Homeland Security in place, a large winged
creature made it through Tennessee and Georgia without detection One of last
year's ultralight-whoopers showed up this morning at Chassahowitzka NWR in
FL.She had been missing from Wisconsin since Nov. 14. She traveled about
1200 miles in 7 days. Pretty amazing.

I believe this is possibly female # 7. If so she is the bird who split away
from the group last year on their unassisted northward migration. Your
right Dee, I do believe she does possess an independent streak. I wonder
what her rank was in the pecking order?
