To expand on Chris Sloan's post What about the birds seen only once or in the distant past Masked Duck Gargany Wilson's Plover Long-tailed Jaeger Ross's Gull (my personal choice for next mega) Band-tailed Pigeon Ash-throated Flycatcher Variegated Flycatcher Northern Shrike Purple Sandpiper (not seen since 1976) Rock Wren (not seen since 1965) I always think about N Wheatear whenever I am at Pace Point - maybe tomorrow?????
