The Long-tailed Duck seen on the Cookeville CBC was still present on Cane Creek Park lake this morning; it is on the small part of the lake east of the causeway for CCCamp Rd. See this page of my website for directions: http://iweb.tntech.edu/sstedman/PutnamTNPublicAccess.htm A possible Red-necked Grebe was sighted at the Floating Mill Recreation Area of Center Hill Lake, DeKalb Co., TN, yesterday. It was seen swimming with some of the 150+ Horned Grebes at the site, but distance to the bird was about 1.5 km, so I would prefer to get better looks before confirming this bird; however, I am 99.9% sure about it.
