Hi Tim, and others, No, Michael Bierly's book has not been updated. He has been quite busy working on Tennessee's Important Bird Area (IBA) program the last couple years. While we would all benefit from a re-write of this book, I think it'll take some cajooling to get it done, as it was a huge task when first done. However, you can find lots of current information (more added all the time) on the Tennessee Ornithological Society web site: www.tnbird.org. There is also a link to the IBA website on there. I also suggest you take your son to a meeting of the Nashville chapter of the Ornithological Society. They have a lot of experienced members, and have great field trips. That chapter will be hosting the Spring meeting, as well. And if you're ever near Knoxville, please drop me a line and come to a meeting of the Knoxville chaper of TOS. We meet the first Wed evening of the month. Good luck, Charlie --- Tim Leffew <tobirdmore@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Is there an updated version of the book published in the early > eighties by Michael Bierly about where to bird in Tennessee.
