This morning at the Discovery House in Murfreesboro, one Yellow-crowned Night-Heron was seen, hopefully they will breed there again this year. At the Fate Sanders area of Percy Priest Lake, several Black-crowned Night-Herons were observed while stalking the beach. At the Pool Knobs area of PP Lake, a Snowy Egret was seen standing on the mud flat. This may be a new early date for the state - the first in Robinson's book is March 29. There may well be some later early date sightings reported of which I am unaware.
